Bio: As the assistant director for physical education at PE and Rec, Jessica oversees and instructs classes in the following areas: Fitness, Individual Activities, Martial Arts, Racquet Sports, Running and Team Sports. Prior to joining the team at the University of Oregon, she served as the graduate assistant for fitness and wellness at the University of Arkansas, where she earned her master’s degree in exercise science.
Jessica’s expertise spans both fitness, sport, and physical education, allowing her to design and support programs that strengthen student wellness, athletic development, and lifelong healthy habits. Jessica sees physical activity as a means for students to develop their ability to work with others, overcome challenges, and build their community as a Duck!
Outside of work, she spends time with her family, including two kids, Ruthie and Maggie, and beating her husband in CrossFit workouts.
